The table below includes all the parenting books on homeschooling I’ve reviewed so far. Before having kids, I never really considered homeschooling as an option. I can’t say exactly why. I think, like most parents, I was worried that my kids wouldn’t be “properly socialized.” However, after having 3 kids and reading about various forms of education, I’ve come to the conclusion that I definitely want to at least give homeschooling a try. Although my older 2 kids attend preschool now, next year my son starts kindergarten and he will be homeschooled. I’m sure there will be challenges, but I’m looking forward to the experience. In the meantime, I’ll keep reading about it.
Note that if you only had time to read one parenting book on homeschooling, I currently recommend Free Range Learning: How Homeschooling Changes Everything by Laura Grace Weldon.
