Comments: My preschooler isn’t really familiar with the concept of running away, so I wasn’t sure how much he would enjoy this book, but he seemed to really like it. It’s a story about a mother loving her son so much that, through a series of metaphors and creative imagery, she shows him that she would never let him get away, until eventually he gives in and decides to stay. What surprised me most was that, while my son seemed to really like the story of motherly love and wanted it read again to him 2 or 3 times, each subsequent time he asked his dad to read it to him.
