You continue to help and amaze me each year. Thank you for making such a altruistic contribution to ours and many other families' homeschool adventures. You've given so many tools for free...our tight budget is beyond grateful. I appreciate your time and benevolent heart. I'm not a writer...so in summary...THANK YOU!

In reply to <a href="https://researchparent.com/homeschool-crate-system/#comment-160719">Eliza</a>.

Hi Eliza! It depends on the subject. I tend to cut a lot of lapbook pieces out during the summer, such as for Sassafras Science Adventures. Those we just glue them into their lapbooks as we go. I also print the Story of the World maps and coloring pages at half size then we glue those into a composition book along with a couple sentences about the corresponding chapter. To store the full page worksheets, I have a 1/2" binder for each child with the child's name along the binding, then inside I have dividers for each subject. I just put the papers into the appropriate child's binder so we are ready for our meeting with our charter school facilitator. I don't save papers like those forever, so if the binder starts to get full, I will just throw away work from the beginning of the year that I know we don't need anymore to make room (usually from math or language arts). At the end of the year, I recycle anything that is leftover.

This is great, I recently read a post about this but it didn’t give the step by step on how to actually do it. My question is, what do you do with the finish work? Thanks

[…] Home School Crate System By Research Parent. If your system involves lots of paper, then this is a perfect idea! You can also organize your children's work for their homeschool portfolio this way. […]
