I don’t know what the strawberry DNA would look like under a microscope! That’s a great question. My guess is that it would be interesteing, but since what we’re visibly seeing is such a large clump of DNA, that even under a microscope you would still not be able to see individual DNA strands.

Hi! There is not a control variable in this activity, because it is more of a cool science demonstration than an actual experiment. There is no hypothesis that we are testing. Rather it is just showing kids a scientific procedure we can follow to get an expected result.
