It is hard to find good games for the youngest kids. I don’t know exactly why any more, but when my oldest was about 2 years old, I was determined to find a game I could play with him. Even Candyland was too advanced since he knew his colors, but didn’t understand the concept of following a path.
Now that my youngest kids have siblings to play with, I’m not as concerned with playing structured games with my toddlers. However, if you are like me and looking for something to play with your young child, here are some suggestions for the best tabletop games for babies and toddlers.
Below are some games our family has enjoyed for babies and toddlers. Click on each game below for a detailed review.

These are great games, we also found that the original memory game from hasbro worked well too. It took our kids a bit to understand the concept of ‘remembering where the match is’. They just loved flipping the cards until the found one the same.

That’s a great idea! I should try that with my 2 year old. I’m sure he’d enjoy that.

Wow, I didn’t even know they made board games for toddlers. That’s really cool, thanks.

Haha, I didn’t either at first. Now that I have older kids, my toddler just ends up playing whatever the rest of the family is playing, even if it’s Monopoly, but when I only had one, it was fun to have games specifically meant for a toddler.
