Books are in indispensable part of my kids’ baby and toddler-hoods. Even before they can talk or sign, my kids learn to LOVE looking at books, turning pages and pointing to familiar objects. We use dialogic reading techniques with our kids to get them engaged from a very young age.
If you’re looking for an authoritative list of the best books for babies and toddlers, I recommend starting here. The books on this page are simply MY babies and toddlers favorite books. Some of them are famous, universally-loved books. Others are kind of quirky. All of them have been asked for over and over and over again my at least one of my kids when they were 2 or under.
