Homemade Fun

Although they may not know it at their young ages, my children are very fortunate. Although we try to live frugally, our family is definitely financially secure. While they may not get everything they want (like a life size pirate ship), between birthday parties, holidays, and indulgent grandparents, they really do get practically everything they could ever want, plus a whole lot of awesome stuff on top of that.

However, despite their wealth of toys and costly adventures to amusement parks and other fun places, I’ve found that homemade toys and activities are frequently more popular with my kids than their store-bought and admission-requiring counterparts. Homemade toys, games, and activities really are the most fun.
