My 3 year old daughter’s favorite activity in the whole wide world is mixing together all the colors of Playdoh until she has one giant lump of unattractive brown. To save us from spending a small fortune on her Playdoh habit, we’ve learned how to make play dough and many other play recipes (such as oobleck, silly putty, and slime) at home. We also sometimes try to save money by making our own craft supplies (like poster paint, finger paint, bath crayons, and glue). I have not yet taken the time to photograph all these activities, but I will add them eventually, so be sure to check back once in awhile.
