Biology is the study of life. For all of mankind’s amazing inventions and technology, will we ever produce anything that comes close to the wonders that exist in nature? It seems pretty unlikely to me.
From the movement of robots to modern medicine, scientists spend years and billions of dollars trying to replicate in the lab what nature can do effortlessly. There is so much to be learned from studying all the creatures and organisms that not only survive, but thrive on our planet.
Paleontology is an area of biology that kids are naturally drawn to. Childhood and a love of dinosaurs go together like peanut butter and jelly. I doubt there is a kid in existence who is bored by the idea of giant, monstrous, creatures that mysteriously died thousands of years ago.
Zoology or the study of animals is a great place for even the youngest kids to start learning about science. In my experience, kids naturally love and are interested in animals of all types.
