I love Montessori math material so much that I’ve literally spent tens of hours making my kids their own homemade material. (You know how some people like really boring, repetitive tasks? I’m one of those people.) What I love most about it is that it’s hands-on. This style of learning turns what could just be numbers on a page into a multisensory learning experience.

I also love that it is self-correcting. When kids make a mistake, they can see that they’ve messed up without needing a grown-up to tell them. Making all this material, especially the “golden” beads, is definitely a time investment. However, it is one that has been worth it, in my opinion.
Here are the Montessori math printables and tuturials on this site so far.
