Tabletop games for early elementary can be really fun. Six and seven year olds are typically old enough to start remembering a lot of rules on their own (even ones that I have trouble remembering sometimes!) Often their reading and math skills lead to some frustration when they play with older kids, but they frequently can still be included in game play.
There are so many great games on the market. Our family owns way too many games, but what we are looking for are games that are extremely fun even on repeated plays. Fortunately, there are lots of games for this age group that we can play over and over and over again.
Below are some games our family has enjoyed for early elementary (1st and 2nd grade). Click on each game below for a detailed review.
