Comments: When I was young I never understood this book, but I think that was mainly because I was introduced to it when I was too old. An 18 month old is obsessed with labeling things and this was by far my son’s favorite book at this age. By the time he was 2, he could fill in the blank for practically every noun in the book, though his pronunciation wasn’t great. “In the great green (woom), there was a (tewephone) and a red (BAWOON!!!!!).” My daughter would say “mm-ow” for the kittens before she was even a year old.
