We read a LOT of picture books in this house. It is not often I find one that has all 4 of my kids (ages 4 to 10) laughing with the same intensity. However, Stuck achieved this miraculous feat. All of my kids thought this book was hilarious.

The concept behind this book is exquisitely simple. A boy gets his kite stuck in a tree. To get it out, he decides to throw more and more items into the tree, all with no avail. As the book goes on, the story gets more and more absurd, which just had my kids laughing even harder with every page.
Often books have funny moments. This book however had my kids laughing all the way to the end. My one complaint is that the font is a little hard to read when you are trying to show the kids the pictures at the same time. It is a handwriting style that is a combination between print and cursive. If you will be reading this aloud to a group of kids, I recommend reading through it once before storytime!
Also, I won’t give it away, but while this book is funny throughout despite being utterly predictable, the ending is mildly surprising which makes it even funnier.
