Comments: Don’t ask me why, but my 2 and half year old is completely fascinated by this book. Maybe it’s the absurdity of someone waking up with antlers or the equanimity with which Imogene accepts her situation, but he wants this book read over and over. Oddly, I remember ordering this book as a child from that Scholastic book order form printed on newsprint that we used to get at school and even though I was probably at least in 3rd or 4th grade, I remember loving it as well. It’s the only book that I can distinctly remember ordering and receiving at school. Maybe its appeal is universal.
