Any book featuring a cartoon bum and a child picking his nose is a winner in my kids’ book. This book got all four of my kiddos, ages 4 to 10, belly laughing in a way that they haven’t in a long time.

This is a book with very few words. However, very few words are required when the pictures do such a great job hilariously depicting the trouble that one little boy can get into. I’ll admit the first time I saw this book, I was not a huge fan of the illustrations. However, I have to admit that not only does the style complement the storyline perfectly, but children will appreciate the images in this book.
If your child has refined sensibilities and would be appalled by images of a cartoon booty or depiction of nose-picking, this is not the book for you. My kids on the other hand, are not refined at all. They thought the pictures in this book were hilarious.
In addition to the hysterical illustrations, the message at the end of this book is both important and meaningful. No matter how naughty a child acts or how much mischief they cause, in the end, they still have their parent’s love. My kids were less enthusiastic about the ending, since they would have preferred mayhem all the way to the end. However, personally, I think the ending was perfect.
