This adorable story features a little boy who is going out in the snow for the first time and marveling at the new wonderful white world. This would be a perfect book for reading with a 4 or 5 year old after the first snow of the year. Get a cup of hot cocoa and get cozy reading about Peter’s adventures.

Comments: First of all, the illustrations in this book are unique and stunning. The collage style artwork will enchant you and your child. Second, the charming innocence of the main character is endearing. Following along as a young child discovers the delight of a snow covered world is a quaint and peaceful journey to embark on.
The fact that the protagonist is a person of color is an added bonus. I love exposing my kids to as many diverse characters in books as possible and this is a delightful choice for even the youngest kiddo.
